fucking love em! #2 definately struck me as the more traditional image i have of the bogeyman which is always nice but i really like #3 unlike 1&4 which have human likefigures he has a kind of odd stance and proportions which add a lot more creepyness to it
Like them all. Really big fan of three, because it strikes just the right balance between predatory and malevolent. Not a huge fan of two, it's too stationary. One is a little too backheavy with whatever those sword things are on his back. Three is awesome, generally, but not a huge fan of the face (looks like a wrestling mask) and the demonic wing-stumps need a slightly more demonic body.
As for actual art quality though, all of them are great.
i also like 2 and 3. i think the human souls(?) at the edges of the cloak of #2 scares the bajeezers out of me, tho the upper part of this cloak feels bit bulky? i imagine the character to be a lot more lanky and elongated. the design for 3 is really cool, but i almost wish his fingers were even longer..you know, to strangle little children with?
kay im just gonna go into my corner and cry silently. the things i do for you...commenting on your scary monsters...D'8
actually, now that i look closer at #1's face, that scares me a lot more than #3's mask..maybe a hybrid of the two?
I love the second and third, but especially the second with the people sort of infused with the cloak. I think their simplicity is also helpful; not being overly adorned gives them a more natural feeling without getting rid of their spookiness. Plus, their more distorted and less human form makes them seem more supernatural.
